Nexus OP Jobs
Nexus OP Jobs are a flexible way to earn extra income each month from home. As a Nexus OP Customer Service Consultant, you have complete control over your schedule. So if you have a full-time job, caretaker responsibilities, or other priorities that keep you busy, you can schedule yourself around those daily obligations.
Getting started with Nexus OP is straightforward. And, once you complete training, you can start taking phone calls and begin earning money each and every month.
Nexus OP Jobs are frequently available in their Customer Service Department. These are all remote, contract positions. But if you’ve never heard of Nexus OP before, you are probably wondering who they are and if this is in fact a legitimate work from home opportunity.
I tracked down a current Nexus OP contractor and even signed up for the position myself to see what it was all about.
Nexus OP Company
Nexus OP is a customer contact management company. They help businesses close more sales by providing insight into their customer interactions.
Their services are available to companies in a variety of industries like healthcare, retail, and finance.
Nexus OP Work From Home Opportunities
Nexus OP jobs provide support for U.S. and international companies. They often have openings for work-at-home agents. The calls you will take are all based on existing relationships the customers have with a company. In other words, you will not be doing any cold calling.
There isn’t a ton of information about Nexus OP out there. They’re not very active on social media and it’s difficult to find a Nexus OP Job Review. A reader who currently work for Nexus Op was kind enough to answer some questions (more on that later).
But I also wanted to check out Nexus OP for myself. So I went through the sign up process to get a feel for what Nexus OP jobs are all about.
Nexus OP Jobs
To get started, you need to sign up as a Customer Service Agent at Nexus OP. There you can read some basic background information and learn a little bit about who Nexus OP is.
Some important information you’ll find are the hours available, possible pay rates, and If it all sounds good, you can proceed to apply to the Nexus OP Jobs that are available.
Nexus OP Job Details
This is a 1099/contractor position. This means you will be responsible for paying your own taxes on any money you make. As an independent contractor, you must provide your own items to get the job done. For Nexus OP jobs this means:
- High speed internet
- Personal computer
- Headset with microphone for taking phone calls
- Windows 7 or higher
How much money can I make as a Nexus OP Customer Agent?
The amount of money you make will depend on how much time you can spend taking calls. Nexus OP jobs are unique in that they pay per every minute you spend talking. So, if you spend 20 minutes on the phone out of every hour, you will only get paid for those 20 minutes you actually spend speaking to customers.
The per minute pay rate ranges from $0.13 to $0.44. This figure is “performance based.” When I first read that pay was based on performance, I assumed this meant sales/commission. But, it’s not.
Nexus OP is quick to announce that the Customer Agent position is NOT commission sales. The reader who currently works for Nexus OP confirmed that this was the case and that pay rates were based on quality of phone calls and overall customer experience.
There are bonus opportunities as well on top of the per minute pay rate. In fact, you have the opportunity to get a bonus on the very first day you begin taking calls for Nexus OP. Payments are made every week via direct deposit.
What does it takes to become a Nexus OP Customer Agent?
You must become certified in order to qualify for Nexus OP jobs. But don’t worry, the certification process is entirely free. You need to complete a series of “modules” that go over things like how to take calls and what to expect from the Nexus work from home opportunities. Once you sign up to become an Agent, you can begin the certification process which typically takes between two to three hours:
But before you gain access to the certification modules, you will need to fill out some basic information, fill out a short questionnaire, and sign a nondisclosure agreement.
Basic information
The basic information is essentially your name, address, phone number and email address. You will also create a password to use when you log in. You need to make sure the information you fill out is up to date as it will be used to process payments and keep in contact with you as an agent of Nexus Op.
Short Questionnaire
The questionnaire you fill out reminds me of questions you encounter during a job interview. Some of the questions ask about your personality type and others seem to gauge your values, morals, and beliefs.
I found it particularly interesting that several of the questions involved your opinion on identity theft and whether or not it was a “victimless crime.” It makes me wonder if they are hiring for Customer Service Agents to take phone calls for a company that offers identity theft protection.
Nondisclosure Agreement
The nondisclosure was pretty brief. It basically just talked about not sharing any Nexus OP information. You have to sign it in order to move onto the training modules. Once you finish these three short steps, you can move onto the actual certification process for the Nexus OP jobs.
Becoming a Nexus OP Certified Customer Service Consultant
You must complete all of the training modules and become a Certified Customer Service Consultant before you can begin taking on Nexus OP jobs.
The modules will show you how to take phone calls and the best practices to keep in mind when speaking to customers.
For most people, completing the modules will take between two to three hours.
Keep in mind, if you start a module and exit out without finishing it, you will need to start it over from the beginning the next time you log in. So, it’s best to set aside enough time to finish at least one module at a time.
You do not need to finish the entire certification process in one sitting if you don’t want to, but individual modules need to be finished once started or you will have to start over next time you sign in.
Once you finish the certification process, you can actually begin taking on Nexus OP jobs and earning money for every minute you spend talking to customers!
What do I need to know about Nexus OP Jobs?
For starters, you can schedule yourself whenever you like. Nexus OP prefers that you’re available full-time during business hours, but as an independent contractor, you can work as much or as little as you’d like.
There are limitations to when you can take calls:
Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST
Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST
Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST
You will need a headset with a microphone. This is necessary in order to take phone calls. If you attempt to take calls without a headset with a microphone, the quality of your calls will be poor and will result in a not so good customer experience. This will affect how much money you make.
Before getting started with Nexus OP, make sure you have a decent headset with microphone.
All phone calls must be taken while using Google Chrome. You can complete training with any browser you prefer, but in order to take calls, you absolutely must use Google Chrome.
Are there any other requirements for Nexus OP Jobs?
Yes. You will need a personal computer PC running Windows 7 or better. Macs are not compatible. You must also be hardwired to a high-speed Internet (Cat5) connection. WiFi and dial-up connection are not allowed. If you meet the technical requirements, you will be able to complete the training modules and begin taking paid phone calls. If you do not meet the requirements, you will need to take care of them before you are able to move forward.
So, is Nexus OP a scam?
Unlikely. I understand that Nexus OP has changed their name several times over the years. And although this can often raise red flags, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a scam. I am also concerned when companies have little to no social media presence. Although Nexus is not active on Twitter or Facebook, there are some commenters on their Facebook page indicating that they like working for them.
Nexus OP has been up and running for at least the last six months. If in that time they were scamming people or not issuing payments, you would certainly find angry complaints posted all over the place online. But I cannot find a single instance of someone reporting being scammed or not paid through Nexus OP jobs.
Plus, a reader was kind enough to share that they have completed work for Nexus OP and have been paid. Because they signed the NDA, they could not divulge too much information. But it’s definitely a good thing that contractors are reporting payments being made in a timely manner.
After going through the sign-up process myself and seeing how much time, effort, and money was spent to set up the training modules, it seems unlikely that it is a scam. Now I cannot attest how long Nexus OP will stay in business or whether or not they will change names again in the future, but at the time being, people are reporting that they are being paid for Nexus OP jobs.
If the idea of customer service positions from home sounds appealing, but the Nexus OP jobs are a little uncertain to you, try checking out opportunities at U-Haul, Apple, or American Express. These companies have been around a long time and are often hiring work from home Customer Service Agents.
Celeste O. says
The poor grammar during the questionnaire phase in Step 3 is driving me to distraction. I’ve never seen the word “your” used incorrectly so often. Is this really a reputable company?
WorkFromHomeHappiness says
Hi Celeste,
I see what you’re talking about–one of the questions asks, “Your (sic) only unsuccessful when…”
Poor grammar in web content is definitely not reassuring when trying to determine whether something is or is not a scam. What I can tell you is, what I’ve found out through investigating NexusOP:
Contractors with NexusOP report being paid weekly and on time. There is, however, a high turnover rate as many contractors try them out for a bit and, for whatever reasons, decide to pursue other work-from-home opportunities. NexusOP has gone through a couple of name changes over the years (Profinity and USA Contact Point are two I know of). When you call the NexusOP number, you are connected with a live person (likely a contractor) who requests your account number so they can pull up your information. Monster and CareerBuilder have both listed NexusOP jobs at various times and have commented that they see no reasons to believe the job listings indicate a scam operation in any way (also reassuring). Lastly, there are no complaints I can find of contractors who have not been paid. In my experience, when people are scammed or are not paid on time, they will post their experience all over the place, especially on social media. I cannot find any reports of missing payments from NexusOP contractors.
I hope this helps! You might want to check out LiveOps and NexRep which offer very similar work to NexusOP (but are more established!).

Lee says
Do you have to pay any fees to be employed, such as a fee for a background/credit check or any other hidden fees?
WorkFromHomeHappiness says
@Lee,
At this time, there are no fees associated with being a NexusOP Work From Home Agent. The certification process is entirely free to go through and there are no background or credit checks. In fact, as soon as you pass all the certification modules, you could start taking calls and begin earning money–just make sure you are hardwired to your internet and have a good headset!
LiveOps and NexRep are two companies very similar to Nexus OP, but they both require you to pay for a background and credit check (about $65.00). The fee is paid to a third party and not to the companies. They’ve been established longer and have had agents working for them for a very long time, so that’s definitely a bonus.
Nexus OP may be a good place to start to get a feel for taking calls from home. If you like it, you could always contract elsewhere. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
ty says
I’m new to the call center industry,..but wouldn’t mind getting a feel of the area, would this be a good start?
WorkFromHomeHappiness says
Hi Ty!
NexusOP has changed names over the years (at least twice that I know of). At this time, contractors report that they are getting paid from NexusOP for the work they’re performing. If you’re interested in call center work, you should also check out opportunities like LiveOps, Asurion, NexRep and VIPDesk Connect. I’ve also compiled a list of phone jobs with benefits. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi, I currently work for NexusOp and love it. Im a stay at home mom so i love having flexible hours, if tjru kids have an appointment or playdate or just want some plain old mommy time thrn i dont schedule myself to work. If the kids go down for an hr or 2 then im free to schedule myself for just their nap time. I can slso report thay i have been paid, on time, and consistently. I like many other did not see very many reviews so i figured it may be too good to be true, but it’s real. I love it and recommend to anyone looking for a flexible schedule and reliable pay.
Michelle says
Hi,
I thought I would say that I used to briefly work for USA Contact Point. I quit because I stopped receiving calls, and therefore was no longer earning money. In addition, I am not sure about them for other reasons. However,I am looking for something more flexible,so I actually filled out a app for Nexus Op and did the questionnaire. I am not sure if I will proceed, though.
Maggie says
I would not recommend Nexus Op, unless you are really good at retention. I am unsuccessful in talking people into staying if they want to cancel. Honestly, I only made about $2 in two hours because I received only about 3 phone calls. It has been this way for several days. If you are great at talking people into keeping something they don’t want then this job would be great for you.
Shaun Moore says
Excellent WAH Opportunity. Paid weekly. No qualms. Good work. Definitely worth trying.
tea830103 says
I work here currently and it is almost impossible to retain people… therefore the with the pay and call volume I too am only making a couple of dollars in 2 hours. You are better off with a WAH position like Alorica, Asurion, or Convergys that offer a guaranteed hourly rate.
nexusop employee says
this used to be USACONTACTPOINT but they disappeared and named their self NEXUSOP they have NO MANAGEMENT and they WILL NOT talk to you if you can find a way to contact them. NEXUSOP is the worst place to work for.
Margart Kindom says
This is the worst company to work for and if you dont believe me apply and give it about a week. You will be provided a contract and work one week maybe two then no calls come to making it difficult to make money. They have one person Lisa who seems to be the only person who works for the company. At times you cannot get in touch with anyone so hope to god your pay looks good. Dont waste your time unless you are looking for a one week check and its also not that much
Dephanie davis says
This job is a joke you only work 1 week and then theirs no call they should definitely pay more to whomever this job is a scam
Larry Jacob says
I currently work with several stay at home companies so I wanted to give Nexusop a try. Basically your first day you get base + commission which is .10 a min. Commission is something like you get a 1.00 for every transfer. Once they figure out you are successful at getting people to transfer they then take your base away and make you straight commission. I gave it a try at straight commission and made only 4.00. In 3 hours! I wouldn’t apply at this company, they figure out ways to minimize your money. Whether it’s slowing down your calls or giving you the calls that are non-transferable. All bad.
John doe says
This company is the “Worst” company to work for they are using persons to work so they can make all the profit from the workers then pay them crap, you would be on the phones for 7 hours for the day and you only make $4.00 wtf this is a scam and i myself will not stop until this company that’s always changing their names (UsaContactPoint) is closed down and after they have been closed down any other company that may arise that has similar job description as them after closing them down should be closed down as-well because there is a possibility its them just with a change of name!… This is Modern day slavery!!!!
Chris Neal says
They dont pay you you for all your work. They switch to to commission only. Im still working here for the moment only because I have no other job and im waiting for a an interview on Monday the 8th of February.
There is no body to contact regarding pay issues except for some lady by the name of Lisa who just tells you that the sales were reactivations and not valid.
You are mislabeled as an independent contractor when they really treat you like an hourly employee just without the hourly pay.
Horrible company. They also use the name USA Contact point as well. If it has to do with a website called money bee than its the same company. You have been warned.
Chris says
Horrible Company to contract with. This company is a prime example of why work at home jobs get labeled as scams. Although they do pay you, its not much at all. I had a couple of good weeks that I made $229 one week and $139 another. As soon as they figure out you are capable of making money they minimize your options by sending you all outbound calls and the few incoming calls are customers who have already been declined and have poor credit. Then on top of all that on a good week half of your sales dont show up in your commissions you message them, dont get a response and just have to “wait and see”if your paid properly for your hard work. In my experience so far ive averaged about $4.00 per hour of hard work. If thats the kind of job you want than by all means this would be a great company for you to contract with.

It’s odd way to sign up….do they single people out by area code or state?
Because I can never get past step 1 …. it goes to the end and says there’s nothing for me.
Not getting how some people successfully sign up and other can’t.
WorkFromHomeHappiness says
Hi Ebony,
Thanks for stopping by! There are some states that NexusOP does not hire in. At this time, those states include:
New York
Wisconsin
California
Oregon
Washington
Alaska
Hawaii
By chance, do you reside in one of those states? If so, that explains why you can’t sign up. Otherwise, I’d have to investigate why you wouldn’t be able to access the training modules. Let me know!

I recently applied for the position, did all the E learning courses, i was going to log in to my account, to enter my personal info, like direct deposit , but i just felt something wasnt right, and after reading all these review and comments, i am definilty not even giving this job a try. i will look for a legit work, since i am a mom of two, and a full time student, so i would stick with the realistic jobs out there,

They owe their agents money some haven’t seen a checks in weeks at 1st they paid right now they just don’t pay what u are owed
Kelly says
This is NOT a good company to work for! Yeah you can work when you want, but that’s nothing when you make $286. In commissions not including you talk minutes and your check is $23.44!!!!
They take money you work for because people do a survey at the end of the call and say they would not recommend the company to someone else.
Would you recommend the company to someone else when they have been lying to you about your refund for OVER 2mths???!!!
RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! !
Sheri says
I have been working for Nexusop for a minute now and had no issues with my pay until last month and all these changes. I don’t like and I feel like this is a scam just like the customers I talk to. I have not gotten paid in about two weeks and when I did it was for .29 cents. Like really and I take Customer Service calls and ESC calls. No buddy. There is never anyone you can call and talk to and when you do get someone they oblivious to the fact and say that they can not help you.
Dominique says
Hi I am currently a independent contractor with (Verafast) its mainly like the work you do with NexusOP but you actually get paid and a lot more than I’m hearing just have to commit to at least 16 hours per week
Melissa says
Yeah You will end up losing money on this company because they charge you for every outbound call 0.05 and you only get paid 0.08/min. of TALK time, I’ve only had answering machines so far so I’m in the negative on day one. you cannot make money if you are only paid if someone answers. Because three v.m. might be equal to 1 min. but it’s not talk time so you lost 0.05 for every outbound call meaning you made -0.07 for that min. times that by 60 min./hr and you are paying them to work.
Patrick mcdaniel says
I like this gig just fine. Calls flow in. Money is up and down but I average 350 – 450 a week. Sometimes it’s not fun but I’ve got a good group to chat with during the day. They let us talk on Skype so it’s fun in that sense. Overall I like it. I’m not looking for anything else so that must be a good sign.
Sean says
Good place to grab some extra cash. Easy enough and paid weekly.
Chris (not my real name) says
I signed up 3 weeks ago and the training is done via pre-recorded videos. There is no payment to start up, which is great, however, we have more outbound calls, than inbound. The outbound, mostly goes to voicemail and call blocking and then we are charged for the calls. If we make $10 and the cost of the days calls cost $5, it is deducted, then we make $5.
It is ridiculous and if anyone can show me that they make any money. Show us. There is no one to call. It’s only via Skype and they say they cannot call, but can do messages.
Worst of the worst work at home.
No stars for them.

Hi Ketleine. Thanks for stopping by! As far as I know, yes, you are able to use a laptop and, no, you do not need a landline. The calls are routed through your computer — so no standard telephone needed. Good luck !

Is it just me or do the last 5 or 6 positive reviews sound like they were planted by Nexus Ops??
April says
I actually signed up and started the training when one of the work email companies that email you jobs had reviews about NexusOp. There were a half a dozen all stating that the pay is only pennies a minute and if you get a complaint the company will actually take pay from you so you end up owing the company money instead. All state beware and go elsewhere for a job. I then started looking for reviews and found several bad ones. The author needs to take another look for reviews of this company.
Lala says
FOR SOME IF YOU who think this company is a scam it is NOT a scam! I’ve been working there 3 months and doing good. There’s different campaigns you can work on instead of cs/escalation retention. I work on 2 sales campaigns and have been paid ON TIme! Always! Its very flexible and we have a very supportive team of each of the campaigns I’m on on Skype. Lisa only handles things in the customer service campaign. Will is the one who handles the sales campaigns. So there’s 2 different positions you can apply for. I like the sales and don’t like cs rentention because you don’t get calls. I’ve gotten back to back calls with my 2 campaigns. Down side is they will charge you from .02/call – .30/call for their leads. For outbound calls is none to lesser and inbound .10-.30 cents. If they paid more, not charge for calls, and keep their name then it would be a great company.
AP says
I stated working for Nexus Op in June of 2016 and it started of fine for the first week, then the second week kick in and the changes started to take effect all those deductions without telling you why and not having information to prove you have a low survey score steady taking money but the time i stop working for them i was in the hole 5 dollars. They are being sued by a lot of people because they have been stealing people information such as credit card and socials, and also. The help is terrible some agent try to help but they dont all all the infor needed. many agents that use to work here have working with attoney general and the labor board because they were not getting paid and were scaming others. I would not work here I still have some agent that on the inside to give me more information to keep you posted.
