Internet References

HI
I recently completed my qualification test for Appen and they are asking me sign Scope Of work ,which requires providing SSN ,is it safe to provide and also are will Appen provide any Tax document .Please help me !!
Ashlee Anderson says
Hello! Yes, the reason they need your SSN is so they can provide you with tax documents and report your earnings. As a contractor, you will be responsible for paying taxes on what you earn but Appen will still report those earnings for you as a 1099 contractor.
But, yes, as long as you’re on the official Appen hiring portal, you are a safe to share your personal information. Good luck!
Happily,

If You Dont Have A Headset Can You Use Headphones Instead or No ?
Ashlee Anderson says
Hi Nika,
Thanks for stopping by. Are you talking about transcription work with Appen? If so, yes, you could probably get away with headphones to start. But you’ll want to invest in a headset made specifically for typists. It will improve the audio and be much more comfortable than standard headphones.
Happily,
Ashlee

Hi I was just wondering exactly what type of work it involves. It just says following directions and using social media? What determines your pay and how often do you get paid? sorry for all the questions
Manika- Nia says
When will they let you know about passing the test? I have been on the runaround for a couple of weeks now then received an email saying “Hello,
We apologize for the delay, the revised guideline is now posted in the SharePoint site as well as the updated Quizegg practice sets. The recording link and the qualification set will follow no later than Friday -June 9th, to give you more time to review the guidelines. We appreciate your patience and understanding, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for further help” I took all of the practice tests and the bottom link seemed to be the real qualification test so I took it after I got 100% on all the practice ones. Upon finishin it it said a member from the project would contact me in 12 hours. I haven’t heard anything yet and it’s been a day. Any light you can shed?
