Looking for remote jobs this month? Look no further. At the start of each month, I like to put together a roundup of companies currently hiring remote workers.
This list is meant to serve as inspiration as you work to kick your cubicle to the curb! From this list, you can learn about the many remote-friendly companies out there as well as all the diverse job titles available to you.
Remember, remote work is on the rise and you can absolutely use your existing skills and experience to transition to telecommuter.
So, ready to see which companies are hiring in March 2020? Read on to find out.
1. Literably
Literably is a software company in education. It is used by K-8 teachers to help identify reading levels and skills gaps in students.
When you work from home for Literably, you transcribe audio recordings of children reading. You’ll note any misread words or other errors made.
That’s it. This is a flexible, contract position available to residents of the United States. However, you cannot reside in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska or New Jersey.
After you sign up as a Literably transcriber, you will have to pass six practice exams. If you succeed, you will be invited to complete paid recordings.
Transcribers earn between $10-$20 an hour and can work as much or little as they’d like. Payments are made once a week via PayPal.
2. GitHub
GitHub has headquarters in San Francisco, but many of their employees work remotely.
In addition to remote work options, all employees enjoy perks like flexible schedules, unlimited PTO and 100% health insurance coverage. GitHub even offers employees a full paid week off to volunteer, money for education, and five months off for parental leave. How’s that for amazing benefits?
If you’ve never heard of it before, GitHub is how people build software. To date, the community is made up of approximately 40 million users.

3. Hopper

According to Forbes, Hopper is the fastest growing travel app out there. To date, people using Hopper have planned more than 100 million trips!
In order to help all these travelers, Hopper hires Travel Agents to work remotely in the United States and Canada.
The Travel Experience Agents are passionate about the travel industry. On a daily basis they help customers via chat and email, quote and book airline travel, prioritize high volume travel requests.

4. ModSquad
Are you a pro in all things social media and digital engagement? Then you would make a great ModSquad Moderator!
ModSquad is a digital engagement company. It helps brands build and sustain their online presence through online support and moderation.
That means Moderators at ModSquad (Mods, for short) engage with customers via chat, on social media, or in online communities.
Mods get to select projects they want to work on and set their own schedules. This is a flexible, contract opportunity. Many Mods work day jobs and use this as a way to make extra income.
Once you fill out the application to become a contractor Moderator, it takes about 72 hours to hear back. Available opportunities vary based on demand, so keep that in mind when applying.
5. The Center For Excellence In Higher Education
The Center for Excellence In Higher Education (CEHE) is a non-profit group of career colleges. Brands include Independence University, Stevens-Henager College and College America.
CEHE frequently hires remote workers to assist students in every stage of their academic careers.
Common jobs available here include Student Services Advisor and Admissions Consultant.
To be considered you must have a quiet home office and be able to work a set schedule.
6. Wonder
Another freelance opportunity hiring in March is Wonder. Wonder is an on-demand online research company.
Wonder contracts freelance researchers to work on research projects for big-name brands and global companies. Some of their clients include Procter & Gamble and Omnicom Group.
Wonder Researchers earn competitive pay and get to work a flexible schedule. Most projects pay a flat fee of $15/hour. You are paid for each research request you complete.

7. Coffee Meets Bagel
Coffee Meets Bagel is a dating app. But, its primary focus is to create meaningful connections through curated matches. No endless swiping through hundreds of matches here!

In fact, you can apply to remote jobs at Coffee Meets Bagel is you live in Canada or the US.
8. Boldly
Are you on the hunt for Virtual Administrative Positions? Boldly might be a good fit for you.
All positions at Boldly are W2. That is, you are an employee and receive all the perks that come with your employee status.

It’s a new month which means new opportunities for remote work! I enjoy writing this list every month. It really illustrates the diversity of remote companies and the many different positions they offer.

Hi there! Each company sets their own standards when it comes to hiring. I have no control over where companies hire. Also, I’m a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC) in the US, which means I’m only familiar with remote jobs in North America. Perhaps it would be wise for you to seek out remote coaches in your area 🙂
